and state crime victim compensation program managers, staff and Board members who would like up-to-date information to improve
the effectiveness and results of their programs.
The conference
will focus primarily on the knowledge, experience and strategies
helpful to improve program performance and grant management in order to better serve victims
of crime.
This
conference is NOT open to VOCA subgrantees, other direct
service providers, trainers, educators or others not directly
responsible for state administration of VOCA victim assistance
formula grants or state crime victim compensation programs.

Thanks

of Crime there is no registration
fee to attend the
conference.
The
conference will formally begin at 8:00 a.m.,
Wednesday, September 30 and end at 4:30 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2009. Participants should plan to arrive
on Tuesday, September 29 and depart either late Friday or Saturday, October 3.

Reservation Information
The Conference will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel at the government rate of $233.00/night (plus 14.75% local tax)
for single
or double
occupancy. (Note: the government rate may change as of October 1, 2009.)

The cut-off date for hotel
room reservations is September 4, 2009.
The conference begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, and runs for three full days, ending at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 2. To attend all conference sessions, you'll want to reserve rooms for arrival on Tuesday, September 29, and you can choose to depart late on Friday or stay over into Saturday.
NOTE: You may be able to reserve rooms at rates lower than the Federal government rate by using the hotel's standard reservation system (some of these lower rates may require an immediate, full and nonrefundable payment). In doing so, do NOT mention the "VOCA Conference" but please send an email to Conference Coordinator Gillian Nevers (gillian@navaa.org) with the dates and rate for your hotel room so that your reservation can be counted toward our contracted Conference obligation.
Please make your hotel room
reservation and conference registration as early as possible.
We cannot guarantee the availability of hotel rooms once our reservation block is filled (even if that occurs
before the cut-off date) or after the cut-off date.
*The
hotel will honor the government room rate for three days
prior to and after the conference depending on room availability.
